REACH (Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals)

Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council (EC) No. 1907/2006, abbreviated to REACH (Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals), requires chemical industry companies and importers of chemicals to determine the composition and the identity of substances, including isomers and reaction intermediates and also to determine the identity and content of additives and major pollutants (REACH Regulation – Article 10 and section 2 of Annex VI to the Regulation).

Fulfilment of this criterion in accordance with the REACH Regulation and the ECHA* guidance calls for the carrying out of complex analytical tests using chemical expertise and advanced chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques, such as high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), gas chromatography (GC), mass spectrometry (MS), nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometry (NMR), atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS) as well as infrared (IR) spectroscopy and ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV-VIS).

Saybolt Poland offers analytical services performed in accordance with the ECHA Guidance, and comprehensive interpretation of the obtained test results together with the preparation of full test documentation for IUCLID 5**. We have a team of professionals experienced in the field of analyses and issues concerning REACH. Either using our own resources or operating within the structures of Saybolt International B.V. (Core Laboratories, USA), as well as cooperating with eligible entities, we have access to advanced analytical, spectroscopic and chromatographic instruments and tools, such as for example FTIR spectrometers, UV-VIS spectrophotometers, differential scanning calorimeters (DSC), WD-XRF spectrometers, AAS spectrometers, elemental analysers (CHNSO), gas chromatographs (GC) with FID, TCD and MS detectors, ion chromatographs (IC), and liquid chromatographs (HPLC) with RID, DAD, FLD and MS detectors.

We work with both international and local companies. List of our customers includes producers, agents and importers of chemicals.
