Baltic Marine Surveyors was founded in 1991.
On 15 July, 2016 Saybolt acquired Baltic Marine Surveyors and since that day it has been operating as:

Saybolt is a well-established company with its Head Office located in Gdynia, providing wide range of inspection services in Polish ports as well as in other inland locations throughout Poland. Saybolt has also a branch office in Szczecin.
The company tradition is based on many years of experience. Saybolt success has been achieved through rigorous ethical conduct, quality and safety standards, as well as strong customer relationships and a commitment to teamwork. Saybolt provides comprehensive cargo surveys covering transport, storage and handling of bulk liquid cargoes (crude oil, petroleum products, luboils, chemicals, LPG, liquefied chemical gases, vegoils, molasses etc. ), bulk dry cargoes (fertilizers, chemicals, etc), and bagged/packaged cargoes (fertilizers). Saybolt also performs analyses of marine fuels (according to ISO 8217).
The company also offers a wide range of marine surveys (on/off-hire surveys, condition surveys, P&I surveys, hatch cover water tightness tests, damage surveys and marine pollution) as well as pre-loading, post-discharge, flammable gases testing, calibration of tanks etc. and technical inspections.
In addition, Saybolt provides consulting services with regard to cargo loss or contamination claims and loss prevention.
Saybolt Poland laboratory is accredited by Polish Accreditation Centre (PCA) according to PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 and confirmed by Accreditation Certificate No. AB 1278.
